This season has brought us some surprising design house collaborations with Emanuel Ungaro appointing controversial actress Lindsay Lohan as their new Artistic Advisor... Luckily we also witness a partnership with perfect Synergy, British designer Richard Nicoll, 32, will take the role of Creative Director for Cerruti Woman.
Since graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2002, Nicoll’s successful career began with his debut collection being bought by Dolce & Gabbana. He then went on to consult for Louis Vuitton, before launching his own label in 2005.
Nicoll’s debut collection for the Italian fashion house will be shown during next Paris Fashion Week for A/W 2010.
Nicoll says of his new role, “This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for me. I greatly admire the relaxed elegance of Cerruti and the impeccable style of (Cerruti founder) Nino Cerruti. To be the new Woman’s Creative Director of this amazing team is a real honour and privilege.”
